Honey and Sriracha Chicken Drumsticks Served With Baked French Fries

So I felt like something spicy this evening! The other night, my husband and I had some awesome sweet and spicy chicken wings with our drinks at a restaurant. Those wings were my inspiration for this recipe.
Super easy recipe for an easy-going Friday.

The ingredients

(Serves 2-3 people)

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup cornmeal (texture sould be coarser than flour, but not too grainy)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic, grated
  • Salt and pepper

  • 4 potatoes, cut into fries
  • 1/4 tsp all-spice
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preheat your oven  to 400 °F. Season the chicken with salt amd pepper and dredge well in flour (removing excess), then eggs, then cornmeal. Place on a non-stick baking sheet and drizzle olive oil on both sides of the drumsticks. Bake for 30-40 minutes or more, flipping over once, until the chicken is cooked through and drumsticks and crispy.

Combine Sriracha sauce, honey, and garlic in a separate bowl. Coat the baked drumsticks in the sauce and sprinkle some chopped green onions over them.

Homemade baked fries

Preheat oven to 400 °F. Combine potatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper and spices. Spread on a non-stick baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, tossing the fries a couple of times in between to cook evenly.

Sweet and spicy paradise.
